Natural persons or sole proprietors can file a claim for $10,000 or less. It is fair to say that a small claims filing is not a simple as one might think. There are many pieces that go into a claim. One must separate the claim into either a breach of contract or a fraud case. In the fraud case, a plaintiff must file a cause of action for fraud. In both cases, the plaintiff may have to subpoena the defendant to appear at trial or to produce documents. Whatever the situation, we will do the preparation according to your direction.
